WWII Naval Aviation Resource

I have a website dedicated to WWII Naval and Marine Corps aviation that is a work in progress.

https://www.ww2nar-pac.com/

I'm currently working on a more detailed database of the WWII Navy Overseas Loss List than is available on the internet. My searchable database includes the reason for the loss, the full names and File/Service numbers of not only the pilots, but also the aircrews, which are not included in the Navy's original list. I've completed the Corsair losses and am working on the Hellcat and Avenger losses which are updated to May 1944.

Although they are not on the site, I have digitized most of the accident report microfilm for combat aircraft and have started to very slowly digitize the 18 rolls of film that I have for the WWII Navy Aircraft History Cards.

The site does not have a forum at this time.

I hope that the site will be a little helpful in filling a gap left in the closing of this forum.

Mac

And Mac, I've got you bookmarked in three or four places so there's no chance of losing you.

I appreciate that, Rich. I visit sites that you visit as well, so at least I can keep an eye out for your posts.

Take care,

Mac
