Who became Staka of 2./ZG 1 on 06/06/1940? Looking at career summaries they both did?
STREIB: 06.06.40 appt Staka 2./ZG 1 (to 26.06.40)
RADUSCH: 01.06.40 (or 06.06.40?) appt Staka 2./ZG 1
Meyer/Stipdonk in their book "Zerstörer-und Nachtjagdverbände Part 1 say it is Streib
I search the forum but got no results. Does someone more info about this? Or can point me in a direction where I can find more info about this?

Hello,

First, the date of 6 June 1940 is very abritrary. For instance, the unpublished history 'Kriegsgeschichte der I.Gruppe Zerstörer-Geschwader Nr.1' remains silent about any personel changes on this date.

The unpublished 'Die zehnjährige Geschichte der I./NJG 1', written by the I./NJG 1 waepons officer W.Stahn' however, it becomes clear that Hptm. Horst Lehrmann was Staffelkapitän 2./ZG 1. Just before the I./ZG 1 (minus 1./ZG 1) left Le Havre and moved to Düsseldorf, Oblt. G.Radusch took over from Lehrmann. When Gruppenkommandeur W.Falck was appointed Geschwaderkommodore NJG 1 on 26 June 1940, Radusch became Gruppenkommandeur of the I./NJG 1. The new Staffelkapitän of the 2./NJG 1 was Oblt. W.Streib.
