Uffz Wilhelm Opel, StG. 77
Hello

Looking for some more information regarding Uffz Wilhelm Opel - which I believe was his name. He belonged to 8./III./Sturzkampfgeschwader 77, was sent to the Balkans and lost his life there during an enemy flight, on the 18 April 1941, probably over Ptolemais. Where he also was first buried.

Would be nice to know if this info is correct, thanks.

Flugzeugführer Uffz Opel, Wilhelm, tot
Bordfunker Uffz Hegelow, Heinz, tot
Zusammenstoß um 12.00 Uhr in der Luft mit Ju 87, Werk-Nr. 5743. Bruch 100 %.

Was the second Ju-87 WNr.5743 also destroyed Matti?
