02. Juni 1940 Arado 66

Hi

On the 02.Juni 1940 a Arado 66 a from the I./JG 54 was shot down by a french fighter. The pilot, Gefreiter Hegwein, was captured badly woundet. He was on the way from Eutingen to Vitry en Artois and was last see after his start in Trier. Any idea who shot down the plane and where is the chrashplace??

French fighters claimed this day only bombers, a Do 17 in the Channel, 2 He 111 shot down and 2 probable NE of Lyon and 1 He 111 probable near Provins.

yes.no arado 66 claim by french fighter the 02.06.1940
one DO 17 by III/10 (BLOCH 152)-no DORNIER 17 lost by luftwaffe this day
one HE 111 by II/7 (dewoitine 520) and 5/13 (potez 631)-one of 8/KG 51
one HE 111 by 1.etamp (bloch 152) and two bf.109 of switzerland-8/KG 55

see perhaps the claims made by royal air force or the DCA(flak)

Hi guys

I can't find any RAF claim to match this loss - could it have been a friendly fire incident? Possibly shot down by a Bf109 or Bf110 in error?
