If one is ever found I can imagine it would pull a pretty penny...

Re: Oberleutnant Otto Kittel

Since you appear to have done some research on Kittel's aircraft, you may already know that two of John Weal's books for Osprey contain color plates that claim to represent Kittel's A-6, "Yellow 5" while he was serving in 3./JG 54 circa August-September 1944. See, Focke-Wulf Fw 190 Aces of the Russian Front, p.55 and Jagdgeschwader 54 'Gruenherz,' p. 73. It is unclear what source(s) Weal used in creating the plates.

Wink Re: Oberleutnant Otto Kittel

see P140 of 'Focke Wulf Jagdflugzeug' (Rodeike) ....'angeblich ..eine Fw 190 A-7 des Stkpt. der 3./JG 54, Lt Otto Kittel..'

there is no 'angeblich' about it ...this and whole series of images of 3./JG 54 from this time frame (September 1944) exist in one collection I've seen..
