Lost P-38s
Hi Folks,
does anybody have info on the 2 lost 14th FG P-38L-1-LO planes in Yugoslavia on March 18, 1945? Serials: 44-25041 44-25053 Loss area, SQUADRON NUMBER, names of the pilots and their fate? Also looking for info on the SQUADRON number (which will tell us the color markings) of F-5E (5th PRG) lost on November 6, 1944, pilot 2Lt. Clarence J. Baker (KIA) at Bakonybel, Kertesko (Hu). Hello Gabor,
The 6th November 44 F-5 I have 42-68286 Number "2" and Hungary, Bakonybél, Kerteskő As for the 14FG a/c nothing so far comes to hand except natural Metal finnish and Déli Terúlet, Yugoslavia today. All the best Alex

Hi Alex,
thanks for your reply. It is very interesting, since as far as I know this PRG used letter codes, not numbers on the planes. Unfortunately I have not too much data on their marking system yet. Thans again, Gabor
