Martin Baltimore FW850 in Italian Air Force

Hi all,

I would like to ask if anybody has Ali Straniere in Italia n. 3 - Martin Baltimore (I Baltimore Italiani)?

I am interested if there is any information about Baltimore FW850 which according to RAF serials publication was transferred to Italian Air Force in June 1946?

TIA

Pavel

The informations about this aircraft contained in Ali Straniere and coming from the list contained in "Coccarde Tricolori" by Alegi/Catalanotto published in 1994, are the following ones:
Baltimore V, in service on 15.1.48 with 132° Gruppo as 132-3; it received the italian serial MM 25000 from 31.1.48.

Best regards

Gianandrea

Gianandrea
thanks a lot for the info!
May I ask you if you can recommend me any link in English where I can find some info about the unit 132° Gruppo?
I would like to put together the short story about the service of this plane including brief description of units it served with.

Thanks

Pavel

I don't know any internet site about this subject (but my internet site knowledge is very limited....).
Anyway, Ali Straniere volume devoted to the Baltimore contains also a text fully translated in english and I think it's still available by the publisher.

Regards

Gianandrea

Ok thanks Gianandrea.
We have some special shops here in Prague with foreign military literature so I will try to look there.

Thanks for your help.
