Fw190A-8 4./JG.1 red 2,3,10

In Bodenplatte, by Manrho/Pütz, on page 12 there is a picture of a line-up of 4./JG1 Fw190s. The one in the foreground ,red 2, and perhaps the one behind that ,3+, are of the 380000 series. In defending the reich, by Mombeek, I found no reference to any 380000 series Fw190s. Does anyone know anything of the use of JG.1 of Fw190s of this series.

Any help would be welkomed

Dennis

Ofhr. Essig, KIA 5.12.44, 4./JG 1

There is one of the same staffel, 5.12.44, Fw 190A-8, WNr. 380368, rote 8, 4./JG 1, Ofhr. Gerhard Essig KIA. It is in the German version of Mombeek's JG 1 book. There is also a II./JG 1 loss in January 1945 of a 380xxx series. Cheers, John.

Hello John,
Thanks for the extra info.
Have you seen the information on http://fw190.hobbyvista.com/380block.htm
I was wondering if all the photographes from from I./JG 1 at greifswald can be seen somewhere. I have see some in Bodenplatte"", that you wrote with Ron Pütz, and others in Mombeek's "Defending the reich".
I asume that there are more??

Groet,
Dennis

I./JG 1 at Greifswald

Yes, I know the website. I provided some of the I./JG 1 pictures to Eric Mombeek, but they originally belong to somebody else. Quite a number have been used in my Bodenplatte book. Indeed there are more, these have not been published so far. At least that I am aware off.
