Karl Becker KG.40

Gentlemen,

I hope that there is some-one able to help me with a couple of questions.

I have a photo-album made by the family for the MIA Obergefreiter Karl Becker.
22-3-1921 , MIA 18-7-1941.
Photos of him wearing his Fliegerschutze/Bordfunker badge, KG.40 FW-200.

All I can find for that date is:
Werk.Nr. 0043, C-3/U2 1940, F8+AB, Stab I./KG40, 18-7-1941, Hptm. Fritz Fliegel und 5 Mann.

Was Becker a member of Fliegel's crew that day in that aircraft.
Was he also with Fliegel on other flights.
Any idea what happened to them, that day.
Other names and ranks of the crew.

Many thanks for your help.

yours friendly

Re: Karl Becker KG.40

Hello again Eric,

Nice to meet you here! How are you doing?

The only additional info I could find on the Fw 200 loss you mentioned is the aircraft's Stkz.: SG+KS. The aircraft's individual letter in the Vkz., 'A', was green.
Additionally, Hptm. Fritz Fliegel was an RK-Träger, awarded on 25 March 1941.

That's all I have. I could not find a race of 'your man'.
If something else pops up, I'll certainly let you know.

Take care,

Re: Karl Becker KG.40

From the loss lists Gef. Karl Becker was missing as a Bf in Hpt. Fliegels crew. They were about to be engaged by a Cam. Ship Hurricane flown by Lt. Everett RNVR when ships AA blew off the Condors starboard wing. Following this Lt. Everett flew his Hurricane to Ireland.
Ff. Hpt Fritz Fliegel, Ff Ltn. Wolf Dietrich Kadelke, B. Fw. Hans Tetke, Bf. Gef. Karl Becker, Bs. Uffz. Karl Manerer and Bm. Uffz. Johann Rettkem all missing (these are the best spellings I could make out),
