Baltic Fleet Air Force

I'm hoping anyone can help me with information on the VVS-KBF in first half of 1944. Which units that were in it, types and numbers?

Directing me to where this can be found (books) or typing anything you might have (preferably with source) are both fine.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Baltic Fleet Air Force

Try www.allaces.ru it has a lot of the units with the KBF listed in the units section and some of the types of aircraft they flew.

Hope this helps,
Michael

Re: Baltic Fleet Air Force

Thanks, but unfortunately the Baltic Fleet (unlike the other fleets) seems to be rather incomplete on that site, listing only the commanders.

Re: Baltic Fleet Air Force

Hi,

if you can read russian, here is information.

http://ef.1939-1945.net/b051_003.shtml

The article is not serios work but the organisation VVS-KBF looks mostly OK. But IMHO 11 GIAP never serve with the KBF and 13 IAP was granted with guard banner and called 14 GIAP at that time

Best regards
