![]() Hi,
Somebody could feel more information on this aircraft, Heinkel He 111H-4 WNr. 4066 (?) VG+ES (White). Was this aircraft the personal transport of Romel in 1941? Who was the pilot and which was your unit? http://www.warbirdphotographs.com/LCBW/He111-H6-40s.jpg Hugs E. Brettas www.avesdobrasil.com.br |

Re: Heinkel He 111H-4 Romel?
Hi,
I hope that my info is correct, but I have it as an H-5, WNr 4085, and it was destroyed 9 August 1941. KurSta z b V Afrika Rommel's personal transport in North Africa (often shown as an H-6). - Destroyed at Ain el Gasala during local flight. Hptm Josef Mies (pilot), Oblt Karl Pfefferer (observer) and Fw Willi Birr (engineer) killed. Always interested if anyone has anything different! Regards, David |

Re: Heinkel He 111H-4 Romel?
Hi guys
I have a note that a Bf109 pilot from JG27 erroneously shot down a He111 sometime in late 1941/early 1942 - no further details. I wonder? Cheers Brian |

Re: Heinkel He 111H-4 Romel?
Oi David,
Suas informações estão corretas. Peter Evans (LEMB) me enviou estas infomações: "..the He111H-6, WNr.4085 coded VG+ES has been identified as one of the transports used by Erwin Rommel" P. Evans me disse também que havia um emblema debaixo do cocpit. Você poderia me dizer como era este emblema? Teria alguma foto do emblema? Abraços, E. Brettas www.avesdobrasil.com.br |
