LW Transport operations April-May 1940

Transports and transport ops are generally a low item in the pecking order of LW interest. That said, does anybody know of sources of information for LW transport ops in the spring of 1940? I've gone through the GenQu. reports which for that time frame are a mess. There were a couple of very nice articles about transport ops in Norway in the last few issues of the defunct Lw Verband - its unfortunate that an arrangement was never reached to allow that publication to continue.

Is anybody aware of any other sources, articles or whatever?

Hello Jim

Long time ..

Regarding transport ops in Norway during Unternemen Weserübung in 1940 and later I must point you in the direction of one of the two leading Luftwaffe experts in Norway to day, namely Bjørn Hafsten. His knowledge also include seaplane operations along the coast.

I belive he will take contact.

Greetings from Norway

Knut

German Air Force Airlift Operations, by Fritz Morzik, edited by Edward P. Kennedy (1961). 417 pages. this is available as a pdf download from the "Air Force Historical Research Agency" (Maxwell AFB).

The site URL for the relevant page with most of the German studies is http://www.au.af.mil/au/afhra/number...s/studies4.asp.

While the URL for the above study is http://www.au.af.mil/au/afhra/number...es/1012410.pdf
