A great side shot of a captured YAK-9 in Luftwaffe markings. This is a spectacular shot, with a lot of detail. Maybe someone can translate the inscription on the side? This also could be a later YAK-1

that's not a yak-9, it's a yak-1b.

at present I have not seen a clear enough photo to even begin to attempt a translation.

I'm sure the German photographers had no interest in an enemy presentation inscription.
