Is this a 109F?

The caption says the a/c is a 109F but it has an Erla haube.

Re: Is this a 109F?

The two small air intakes behind the spinner close to the exhaust stack and the yellow fuel triangle behind the cockpit make this a Bf 109 G, and the lack of 'warts' probably a G-2 or G-4

Cheers

Chris

Re: Is this a 109F?

Would the wing bulge possibly make it a G-4?

Re: Is this a 109F?

Whilst I agree with the posters who highlighted G features, a test airframe could have several non-standard elements. It might have started life as an F, if the original caption was written with knowledge of the Werkenummer.

Here are the same pics, given with source and not cropped.

Its not a Bf 109 F. And I don't think that I was earlier a Bf 109 F.
