Hermann-Friedrich Joppien 21Aug41

In "Barbarossa The Air Battle" Christer Bergstrom has listed on 21Aug41 that St. Lt. Petr Kovats of 129IAP rammed a Bf-109 of I/JG51 in the Yartsevo area (NE of Smolensk) with his MiG-3 which killed him. Dr. Prien's JFV 6/I has Bf-109F-2 (wknr. 9680) as making a forced landing at Jarzewo with 100% damage from 1./JG51 with no name for the pilot. Hptm Hermann-Friedrich Joppien Stab I/JG51 shot down a I-61 (65) at 13:11 with no location on this day. Could Joppien have flown this Bf-109 this day and not have been listed as the pilot because it wasn't assigned to the Stab?
Best Regards,
Michael
