Re: Spitfire MK-837 mid-air collision

Alain,

The collision occured on the 21st November not 24th.

According to 2nd TAF he collided with another Spitfire (F/Lt A.E. Fleming), that aircraft suffering Cat B/Ac damage.

2nd TAF lists the other Spitfire as MJ387, but Fighter Command losses puts it as MK559 (and lists FO Collins a/c as being MJ387).

Regards,

Steve

Re: Spitfire MK-837 mid-air collision

Alain,

I'm afraid not. Fighter Command losses doesn't give a location and 2nd TAF just says crashed landed in 'Allied territory'.
