Re: Photos 8-3

Downloaded exactly the same photo when it was up for sale earlier. From what I understand this photo was not taken in Norway.
Info from earlier comments on this forum regarding this Bf 109:

W.Nr.1128 'White 3' from 1/JG26 crash-landed in Dortmund (?) in January of 1940.
German book: "Dortmund - Bombenkrieg und Nachkriegsalltag" by GE Sollbach.

I have seen photo(s) of this ac crash in one of my books, but I didn't find it straight away now.

From the church in the background I assume the photo was taken at the Hoppstädten field in the region of Birkenfeldt, where I/JG 52 was based from May 13 to May 22, 1940.
Source:
A picture on page 290 in 'Jagdfliegerverbände der Deutschen Luftwaffe, Teil 3', Prien/Rodeike/Stemmer/Boch is showing 'White 12' of 1.Staffel, here showing the Gruppe emblem on the nose.

In the same source on p.291 there is a photo showing the church in the background with 2./JG 52 109s in front.

Correction and added information:

On page 25 in Osprey's 'Aviation Elite Units 15, Jagdgeschwader 52', there is a picture of what I believe is the very same aircraft taken on the same day.
Details such as position and angle of direction of engine cowers placed on the ground, background scenario etc indicates it was taken at the same location and time.
Here the III Gruppe marking is visible, which is not visible on the ebay photo, why it is rather 'White 12' of 7. Staffel shown on the ebay picture. According to the source, III Gruppe returned to Hoppstädten on June 13 1940. 1)
A better picture of 'White 12' from III Gruppe taken at Trier-Euren is at p.24 in the same source. This photo ought to be taken earlier, in late May or beginning of June, before moving to Hoppstädten.

1)
In 'Die Jagdfliegerverbände d D Lw Teil 3' it is written that III Gruppe was located at Hoppstädten between June 1 to 7 and ordered back to H. after one week in France on the 13:th. Moving on to Breisgau on the 15th or 16:th.
They once again visited H. between June 19 and 24.
Difficult to tell exactly when the ebay photo was taken!
