Blenheim v He115, 08.11.1940

c.1145hrs BST(1245hrs GST) Bristol Blenheim was shot down off the West Fresian Islands by a He115 of 2./506. Does any know the squadron to which the Blenheim belonged?

At 1140 hrs on this date, Blenheims T, S & W/235 Sqn damaged a He 115 off Terschelling (intercepted 2). Oddly, no mention in the diary apart from Plt Off Fenton, Plt Off Chamberlain & Sgt Marshall were on a Danish Sweep

Thanks for that, Chris: time, location and numbers of aircraft all match (I'll have to put you in the Acknowledgements again!). The crew of S4+DK of 2./506 claims to have seen 'their' Blenheim crash into the sea - strange that the diary makes no mention.

Chris, sorry - slight hiccup in translation! S4+DK pulled up into cloud, from where the crash os the Blenheim was not seen.
