Smile JG-5 aircraft question

I was asked by a friend to see if I could find any information on an aircraft that flew with JG-5, he has the aircraft "work number" of 3523. This is part of an art project he is involved with. Any help is appreciated with advising me how to "research" this aircraft.
thanks
Gary

Re: JG-5 aircraft question

Gary

I have researched it at length when it was forst recovered and located/for sale in the UK.

Bf109 E-7 3523 Red 6 of 5./JG5. Pilot Widowitz. Construction, transfer and loss.

I am sure your friend is looking for the Battle of Britain section which I am also researching for the owner via an intermediary.

regards

MS

Hi Gary

Here are some profiles by Kjetil Aakra of W. Nr. 3523 in its stages of development. The 'desert' scheme marked with STKz CS+AJ is just before delivery to JG 5.

Try this link for more info:

Hope this helps

Chris

Hi.

Kjetil and I covered this aircraft in our recent book. Look it up if you can.
