Fw 200 Wk. Nr. history source?

Hi,

I'm trying to obtain a database of Fw 200 histories by Wk. Nr. I'm particularly interested in learning if aircraft were lost during Allied air raids in 1943 and 1944. Can someone recommend a source?

Thanks

I have a full list of FW 200 losses but in respect of 1944, if there were no personnel casualties, FW 200 loss details are scarce

Thanks. What I am hoping to find is a aircraft-by-aircraft database across all 270 or so built, similar to what Balke has produced for the aircraft of KG 100 and Griehl for the He 177.

Re: Fw 200 Wk. Nr. history source?

There is a fairly complete listing of Focke Wulf Fw 200 Condor individual aircraft histories in Heinz Nowarra, Focke Wulf Fw 200 Condor (Koblenz, Germany: Bernard &
Graefe Verlag,1988), pp. 133-149. Although rather aged now, this book appears to be one of the best, if not the best, books that Nowarra ever produced. Outside of a private researcher with unpublished data who has spent his life focussed on the Fw 200, I suspect that Nowarra's list remains the best available calendaring of all the individual Condors. The book is also nicely produced, making it well worth seeking out.

Thank you. I ordered that book in the hopes it would contain the requested material and I appreciate your commentary on that.

Re: Fw 200 Wk. Nr. history source?

Rabe Anton;

The Nowarra book is really dated (many errors) and should not be recommended anymore, the new Airdoc Fw 200 by Gunther Ott should have enough to start with ..., also the Spanish Series profiles and others have better quality.

cheers
