Hello

I will apreciate any help about what was the model of Messerchmitt Bf-109 (E1 or E3) had the I./JG 53 during the Phoney war in september 1939.

According to Jochen Prien's books the equipment was pretty equally divided between E-1 and E-3, both models being received from Jan 1939.
Looking at the loss list of the Unit for the period those identified are also roughly equal between the two models.

I am interesting precise on the Moelders schwarn they fight against 6 Curtis H-75 of the G.C. II/5 in september 20th 1939.
