Victory of 2/Lt George W. Tollbert on 15th July of 1943
Good night to all.
I am trying to obtain details of the TYPE of aircraft claimed by 2/Lt George W. Tollbert as his first victory on the 15th July 1943. He seems to be the first Tactical Recon Pilot to claim on the MTO, with 111st TRS. Any information on the kind of aircraft he shot down would be welcomed. Yours Adriano |

Re: Victory of 2/Lt George W. Tollbert on 15th July of 1943
He claimed an Hs-129 as his only victory, on July 15, 1943, at 0905 hours, at C-6067, Agrigento area. I have him flying a P-51, presumably a P-51A, but it is possible that it was an A-36A.
Frank.
