B-25 379BS/310BG
Hi guys
Persuing the web, I noted that an American B-25 pilot/AG of 379thBS/310thBG claimed a Spitfire shot down over the Med/Italy sometime in 1944. He was named as Art Barny. Can any of our American experts properly identify him and provide the date/details of the incident? Cheers Brian

Brian,
Likely to have been S/Sgt Arthur J. Barny Jr. (11040698), 16 Apr 1920-23 Apr 2002, now buried at West Haven, CT (see website gravelocator.cem.va.gov). He enlisted on Boxing Day 1941, if of course the name of that day is used in the USA. Regards, Leendert
