Wellington LN439 429 Squadron

Hello all,

Who can tell me the exact crachsite of Wellington LN439 429 Squadron.

This plane was crashed on May 14th 1943 after hit by Flak (probly flak battery 4./371 at Randerath 7 km NE Geilenkirchen-Germany ).
4 crewmembers were killed, 1 POW

Michel, I have been looking for this one and others in that area too. I cannot find anything even in the Geilenkirchen archives. Most eye-witnesses have either passed away or moved away. I can tell you the site for three of the Schweinfurt Raid B-17s and the Lancaster that crashed in Stahe. Danny

LN-439 : Just before starting the bomb run, this aircraft was shot down by a night fighter crashing at Kleinerbroich, six miles east of Monchen Gladbach
