619 Sqn Loss - Lancaster PB245
Would anyone happen to have any information regarding the loss of Lancater PB245 from 619 Sqn on the night of 19 Jul 1944?
Anything you can pass on would be gratefully received. Thanks, Ned |

Re: 619 Sqn Loss - Lancaster PB245
Lancaster III PB245 PG-Z took off from Dunholme Lodge at 2258 hrs on a raid to Revigny to bomb a railway junction. The aircraft was shot down, probably by a night-fighter, crashing at Ussy-sur-Marne (Seine-et-Marne) 4 km W N W from la Ferte-sous-Jouarre.
Details from Bomber Command Losses Vol.5 - W R. Chorley Ned, do you require the crew list? Last edited by Peter Clare; 15th October 2010 at 16:27. |
