French pilot in FAA 1942
Hi guys
In 1942 811 Squadron, flying Swordfish, had on its strength a French pilot who flew under the nom-de-plume of Peter Bradley. He became a POW circa July 1942. Does anyone know his true identity? Cheers Brian |

Re: French pilot in FAA 1942
Hello Brian,
Details from FAA Archive website and FAA Aircraft 1939/45. Pierre Fauvet 811 Squadron Captured 9th August 1942 Both Lt. P. Bentley and Lt. A H G Mays FTR after minelaying S of Den Helder. and became POW's. It would seem that they were in Swordfish W5974 and were in collision with Swordfish DK751 S/L I H Whitelaw-Wilson and S/L R R Townend who were both killed. Alex |
