Question Identification bomber part

Hi,

I have a part of a crashed bomber in my posession (see picture) and I am wondering what it is and from which type of aircraft it came.

It is likely to have come from a Whitley V, but it is also possible that it came from a B-17G. Both types of bombers crashed near the town of Epe, the Netherlands.

Maybe someone can shed some light on this?

Thanks!
