FW. 200 Condor - Ship Convey Tally Help

Saw these four photos amongst a bundle of infantry pictures. What interested me was the aircraft's kill tally - 10 ships three ships sunk on two seperate days, two days apart. The FW. 200 Condor had flown 14 missions against England & sunk 10 ships. The dates read top to bottom 15.2.40 - 11.1.41 - 20.2.41 - 20.2.41 - 20.2.41 - 22.2.41 - 22.2.41 - 22.2.41 - 27.2.41 - 4.5.41. which make me think the condor attacked one convoy or two over 2 days. I would like to establish which formation the aircraft belonged too ( under the cockpit is a picture of the earth with Saturn rings) and where it was based, the convey attacked, anything about it. Could members help me?
Regards

Re: FW. 200 Condor - Ship Convey Tally Help

Pilot was Staffelkapitan Hpt. Edmund Daser. Here's what I have on the guy:

The rudder bears a silhouette of the ships which the crew claimed to have sunk, together with the date of the action. These ranged from 25 August 1940 to 28 February 1941. Daser was awarded the Ritterkreuz on 21 February 1941 and the following day a Wehrmacht communique announced that up to then his Staffel had sunk 145,200 BRT of shipping, of which 57,000 BRT was credited to Daser himself. On 29 June 1942, Daser, then a Major, was awarded the Deutsche Kreuz in Gold for his exploits.

Vermutlich Borgeaux 1941 der Staffelkapitän und spätere RKJ. Träger Hptm. Edmund Daser. Er wurde am 21.1.1941 mit de RK ausgezeichnet für 46000 BRT versenkten Schiffsraum

Re: FW. 200 Condor - Ship Convey Tally Help

Hi,

certainly the aircraft of an Experte of I/KG40, but doubt that this was Hptm Daser's rudder. Daser was credited with 57.000 GRT of enemy shpping sunk by mid january 1941 (per OKW 22.01.41) and, on the rudder, are only 2 ships painted by this date, and 68.000 on RK-award (21.02.41), too much for the number of ships painted on the aircraft of the photo!!
