RAF Stations Madras and Bangalore - WWII

I see in 'RAF Squadrons' by Jefford that RAF stations in India included the following at or near Bangalore: Yelahanka, Bangalore and Kolar at or near Madras: Arkonam, Madras, Tambaram, St Thomas Mount, Guindy, Red Hills Lake and Cholavaram.

Can anyone please direct me to sources of information about these stations and their functions? Also, which were planned to be operational in the threatened Japanese attacks in 1942?
