Reinert

Hello all

On 27 November 1941 and 13 August 1943, Ernst-Wilhelm Reinert was shot down in aerial combat. Would anybody have loss list information about the fighters that he was flying on those two occasions? Any help would be greatly appreciated. My condolences to his family and friends on the passing of this great ace.

Horrido!

Leo

Re: Reinert

On 27 Nov 1941 Reinert claimed three kills of which two were confirmed as his 24th and 25th victories. JG 77 sustained only one loss on this date which was Roman Painczyk of 4./JG 77 who is listed as missing.

On 13 Aug 1943 Reinert was shot down by P-40s in Bf 109G-6, W.Nr. 20380. I have not seen any photos of his aircraft during this time period.

Hello Sylvester

Many thanks for your response! I am glad that you took the time to answer as I was under the impression that this information was not available. You have helped me out much by adding the werknummer of his fighter.

Horrido!

Leo

Re: Reinert

Hello Silvester and Leo!
The information I do have is that Reinert was hit by Flak on 27 Nov 1941. He belly landed but his Bf 109 erupted in flames later, though he was ok.

Unfortunately the codes of his Bf 109 G-6 on 13 Aug 1943 were not available ( to me! ). He almost drowned when landing, but was picked later by boats ( if Italians or Germans I do not know )...

Yours
Adriano

PS: Check on the SEARCH button up on the right side of the forum and look at REINERT ( You will find previous threads about him and his victories, etc...)
