Mystery 151 Squadron Hurricane nose-art
I am involved in some specific research centred around 151 Squadron Nov 1940 to December 1941 and wonder if anyone can fill in any missing details relating to this image?
I know who the two airmen are, but the question is; who flew this aircraft, and what is the name hidden by the airman's head? "Doteye"...."Scoteye"...? The latter may make some sense as it seems to be a Scottish thistle emblem, so perhaps also a clue as to the pilot? Last edited by Andy Saunders; 1st June 2013 at 00:31.
