Siegfried Radke, Kampfgeschwader 54: Von der Ju 52 zur Me 262 (München, Germany: Schild Verlag, 1990), has no entry for a unit loss on 23 Apr. 1940.

RA,

Many thanks for your reply !

The name of Flg Franz Guenter was also mentioned, but found his name also as a crewmember of a He111 which crashed on 17/05/1940. The pilot of the plane was Fw Paul Lenz.
No other details are known to me.

Best regards

Luc

Re: 23 april 1940 KG54

It seems that there was a loss on 23.april for KG54 we know it indirectly,
because from the ltn.Kiefer 4.KG54 returned from Schw.gefangenschaft nd it's related to a loss occured on 23.april...but it could be that he returned on 23rd from a loss occured on 21st/ 2 losses are documented on 21. with forced landing on Gotland.
