Hello friends
im loooking for information about 601 sqn pilot during Battle of Britain Richard Demetriadi Few days after his death his father Sir Stephen Demetriadi visit 601 sqn and wrote ......Whether before making the supreme sucrifice he brought down any enemy machines that day and if so how many will never be known but, on the ocassion before the last one, he destroyed a Messerschmitt 110. Demetriadi killed on 11/8/1940 So it refers to his previous operational sortie on 10/11? Im trying to confirm this claim whatever it might be, destroyed, propable or damage but i cant find anything Any help on this from Battle of Britain experts? Thanks in advance Dimitris |

Re: Richard Demetriadi claim
Dimitris,
Regretably, I know of no claim submitted nor victory credited to 'Dick' DEMETRIADI prior to his death in action on 11 August 1940. |
