A1+GN shot down west of Mogilef 1st Jul 41
Hi all
Does anyone have the loss report for He 111 A1+GN of 5./KG53 shot down west of Mogilef on 1st July 1941? I have the entry in the Flugbuch of one of the crew and would be very interested in more details. Any help appreciated Thank you Tim O. |

First of I can not find details on 5th Group of KG 53. During the period in question may have been based at Radom, a pilot from 88 IAP however claimed on July 1,41 a HE 111 near Mogilev Podolsk however no idea if related.

Re: A1+GN shot down west of Mogilef 1st Jul 41
Hi
Here is a scan of the entry. They flew on this occasion out of Krzewica where they seem to have been based temporarily. If anyone can help with translating the comments on the right hand side that would be great. I get 'Feindflug' and 'Abgeschossen' but not sure about the rest. Thanks again Tim O. Thank you Researcher 111 - that looks like a very close match to this incident.
This adds greatly to my understanding. Thank you for the help. |
