FAA claimed 2 Ju88s Dunkirk 1940

Hi guys

On 29 May 1940, a Roc of 806 Squadron was credited with shooting down a Ju88, the type's only air victory. Can we confirm the claim?

Also, on 2 June 1940, a Skua of 806 Squadron claimed a Ju88. Again, can we confirm this?

Cheers
Brian

From "Squadrons of the FAA" also Air Britain -

On page 149 "Hatson - 1 May 40; Worthy Down - 26 May 40; Detling(Dt9) [ 9 a/c detached ?] - 7-31 May 40;HMS Illustrious 11 June 40.
Page 386 - "Detling - Lodger facilities provided by 16 Group during 1940/41".
Page 387 - "Manston - Lodger facilities from RAF 12 Group in WW2".
Not much but hope it is of some use to you.

All the best

Thanks Alex,

But it was the possible Ju88 losses on which I require information!

Cheers

Maybe post on the Luftwaffe site if it is Ju 88 details you are after but surely you have BofF T&N which gives the possibility of it being from 9/LG 1 on 29 May & no matches for 2 Jun 40?
