Rudolf/Theodor Lindemann

Hi Guys

The earlier type micro films for 7./JG 26 clearly give Unteroffizier Rudolf Lindemann two claims on dates of 21st August 1941 and 18th September 1941, yet he became a Prisoner on 12th December 1940!!!! Whereas Theodor Lindemann also of 7./JG 26 and a Leutnant at that time shows these two claims in his logbook. Theodor was a friend of Joachim Müncheberg(also of 7./JG 26 at that time) and joins him at Stab./JG 77 in September 1942.

I am assuming that the micro films have made a mistake(twice). Question is would these two pilots be Brothers? I would be grateful for any information on the two like Date and place of Birth.

Kind Regards

Johannes

Re: Rudolf/Theodor Lindemann

It was Rudolf Lindenmann, who was shot down and became POW on 12 Dec 1940. As far as I know, there was no Rudolf Lindemann in 7./JG 26, only Theodor Lindemann.

Hi Matti

Sorry, I don't quite understand, I think you have a slight grammar error? Are you saying there was a Rudolf, but not with 7th Staffel?
Point is that the micro films twice show a Rudolf with 7./JG 26.....but this could be in error, but so to must be the rank unless Theodor jumps from Uffz to Oberleutnant.

Thanks for your comment and time.

Kind Regards

Johannes

Re: Rudolf/Theodor Lindemann

I know no Rudolf Lindemann in 7./JG 26 or in any other staffel. There was only Theodor Lindemann in 7./JG 26. Please note the difference in names Lindemann versus Lindenmann. Rudolf Lindenmann was shot down, not Lindemann.
I suspect an error in microfilms. Maybe the clerk has mixed up Lindenmann and Lindemann?
