Missing crews July 24 & Aug 9 1942 98th BG
Hi!
I am looking for more info regarding 98th BG mission 5 Benghazi in August 9, 1942. 1942-08-09 Taracopp shows (41-11)766 415th BS Pilot Francis, CO-Pilot Lt Zant Crew Bailed out, 4 of crew lost. Christopher Shores book A History of the Mediterranean Air War Vol 2 page 672. US Casualties 415th BS, B-24D 41-11808 (M) Root of Evil. Shot down. Pilot 1/Lt Paul H. Francis and CO-Pilot Baled out, Crew KIA. I am looking for the crew list and who died / graves MACR if it exist, no luck so far. After this mission 41-11808 is not appearing in further records.
