P-51D Paint Process
All
Were P-51D-20-NA Mustangs painted (in a general sense) at the factory, or did they just receive national markings and some form of protective lacquer prior to being shipped / delivered to fighter groups? (I know they were all 'cocooned' prior to embarking on ships) Particularly interested in those heading to the ETO. TIA Dave
