Ju 88 A-4, 5K+AC, werkn 1360

Is there any information to the causes of the dismiss of this machine from II Gruppe KG 3 to the SW of Kalunga?

I do have the following crew (Juu 88 A-4, werkn 1360, 5K+AC):
Hauptmann Kurt Peters
Fw Konrad Graichen (Beob)
Fw Wilhelm Bojewsky (Bf)
Fw Herbert Begs (Bs)

I have tried to find their NVM but got no joy....does anyone do have more details about the crew or can confirm if this was indeed the crew?

Can the WX be responsible for this loss or friendly-fire (AAA or figther opposition)?

Adriano

The loss report just says that the machine and crew were missing for an unknown reason.

Thanks Jim P!

I thought that maybe some new information had appeared since...or the wreck or crew were eventually found somewhere in Russia. Some of them simply "gonne West (or East)" never to return back.

In the GQM loss return (Bundesarchiv Freiburg version) this loss was classified in the loss category 1. The handwritten amendment means "vermisst/Totalverlust durch Feindeinwirkung auf Feindflug" = missing due to enemy action on an operational flight.

Indeed, the pilot was awarded the DKiG in November and the EP in July 1941.
They simply vanished...
Is there any other KG 3 loss that particular day or their machine was the sole lost? If they were flying in formation, someone may have seen him crashing or the results of the action (ground or air)...unless it was some kind of reconaissance....
