I would appreciate receiving more details on the use of this plane in USAAF service.

I know it served with the 417th Night Fighter Squadron. A new book on the squadron called "Beaufighters in the Night: The 417th Night Fighter Squadron USAAF" by Brick Eisel may have more info on that particular aircraft.
Or you could ask the author himself on http://www.ww2aircraft.net/ He's "brickhistory" Cheers A
