Yak-6

Does anyone which VVS units used the Yak-6 during the GPW/WW II? I know that the 3 IAK used one 'white 2' and they were not used for night bombing. Does anyone also know anything about their operational use and combat losses? Thanks in advance.

Re: Yak-6

Some cents.

Yak-6s were used as liason planes mainly and belonged to numerous units (1-2 planes in each) and HQs as well as some partisan-supply units. Some analog of U-2.

May be I'm wrong, but I don't know any pure Yak-6 unit.

AFAIK, there's no detailed research about this aircraft until now in Russia.

Re: Yak-6

Agree with You, Andrey.

Also, is it correct that Yak-6 were listed as "Yak-4" in german claimslists?
