Alex you seem to have the information so what else are you after? There is some confusion as to the date as K Report indicates 0123hrs 31 May while the 219 Sqn claim was 0023hrs 1 June and confirmed by the F540 and German records say the Ju 88 took off before midnight on 31 May 1942

Re: Details of the loss and crew fatalities Ju88A-4 Werk Nr :2079

Hi Chris, Well yes, sort of. It looks like the Burial date is a bit odd, if found/ washed ashore and buried at Rye on 30 June then how is same date given in CWGC at Cannock Chase ?
Maybe the Rye Burial was closer to the beginning of June and then transferred to Cannock Chase and finally laid to rest there on the 30th June '42.
CWGC Has date of death for Staenglen as 1st June 42.
But for STROTBECK it gives the date as 30 June '42. I wonder if it should be 30th May ?
All the best
Alex

Cannot be 30 May and this is not the first time I have seen odd dates. According to the death card Staenglen was washed ashore 30 Jun 42 as was Strotbeck and buried at Rye 3 Jul 42. No card for the others but Heinz was confirmed dead by Berlin 1 Jul 42 and both the pilot and BO 5 Aug 42
