1.(F)/123 losses 19/8/42

In the General staff loss lists two aircraft from 1.(F)/123 are listed for the 19th August. These are Ju88D-1 (Wnr1594) which crash landed near Dieppe with two wounded and suffered 95% damage and Bf109F-4 (Wnr8638) which suffered 25% damage. Also 1.(F)/33 Ju88D-1 (Wnr1711) suffered 25% after forcelanding at Villacoublay. Does anybody have any information on these incidents or the claim of a Spitfire by Uffz Schurer at 10.00 near 'Grasville de la Romfort'.

Thanks for any help.

Regards

Steve Pegge

My information says 1594 downed by "enemy fire" and 1711 "shot down by own fighters". I think the F-4 WNr has an error with that happy face. 863 would be an E.

John,

That Wnr for the Bf109 would be 8638 (not sure were that smily face came from).

Does your information give any times for the losses?

Wk Nrs 1711 and 1594 were both combat casualties but do not get a mention in the Einzelmeldung for that day
