Re: Finnish Air Force, part II and III

These books have excellent pictorial quality but the text is quite short due to incompetent layout with lots of blank space and large font. I´ve heard that some old fart high brass demanded the font to be uneconomical.

Re: Finnish Air Force, part II and III

I bought the volume III yesterday and agree that the quality of pictures is excellent. And I don’t have problems with the font or the layout. But in this bi-language (Finnish/English) book there are too many pictures to my taste when compared to amount of text. But it’s matter of taste; some want more pictures and some, like me, want more text. All in all a very good book but as said, I’d have preferred for ex. a more detailed description of Cpl Kirjonen’s deeds on July 22 1941 to one of the more well known pictures, even if the pictures are very well reproduced.
