JG2 losses 16th March 1944 France

Hi from France,
For my first post, I am looking for the list of JG2 ( probably III./JG2) losses on 16th march 1944.
US bombers were attacked at 10.40 in Chalons-Vitry-St Dizier area, France.
Tony wood lists 4 US bombers shot down by JG2 pilots ( included Huppertz and Wurmheller).
I have a local witness that a german fighter was shot down by B17's SE Chalons at 10.30 , pilot parachuted but badly wounded. I presume he was from JG2...
JG 26 entered in action too, from St Dizier airfield, but later I think ...not sure.

Thanks a lot for your help.
Regards
Granville

Re: JG2 losses 16th March 1944 France

There were 8 combat losses that day all in the St Quenbtin/St Dizier/Bar Le Duc areas. The only ones noted as wounded were:

10/JG 2: FW 190 A-7, 642553, Lt Walter Ebert baled out wounded
12/JG 2: FW 190 A-5, 710067, Uffz Guenther Kuebler baled out wounded

All were shot down in combat with B-17/P-47 1100 hrs
