Rall's combat on the 28Apr43

I don't have Guenther Rall's book "Mein Flugbuch" but was wondering if it had any mention of his battle on the 28 Apr 1943 when he claimed his 121st victory of a "LaGG" at 85 113 at 12:25. He claimed a Spitfire before the LaGG.

Hi Nokose,

About the best help I can give you is to state that to the best of my knowledge, the Spitfire pilot was Guards Sen. Lt. Viktor Radkevich (5 personal and 4 shared kills) of 57 GIAP who was KIA

Yes. Radkevich MIA soon after 13:10 MSK = 12:10.
"LaGG" was probably one of the Yak-1/Yak-7 from 3.IAK or 287.IAD

Thank you both for your response. I found the online page for the book which describes his encounter in the book with Radkevich but it stops just after he shot down the Spitfire. I'll probably have to get both books on Rall for his experiences in air combat but have information for some of the 28th and 29th.

For the 29th I have him downing the Spitfire of Guards Leytenant Semenov, 57 GIAP.

Again, I hope that helps.
