Uffz Richard Adler 16./JG 54, on 25 September 1944
Hello, on JG 54 loss list, Uffz Richard Adler of 16./JG 54 is listed as MIA in Arnhem area on 25 September 1944.
On the webpage http://www.harryschoel.nl/schuytgraa...igcrashes.html, it is reported that the remains of his Fw 190 A-8 172737 were found in 2003 at Schuytgraaf, west of Arnhem, and that he bailed out and was captured by Canadian troops. Strange, as there was no Canadian troops at this time in the area. Can somebody confirm this version, or at least that Adler survived ? Thanks in advance |

Thanks John. It seems one of the many cases of a wrong piece of information repeated almost everywhere on the Net.
