Is there a way to cross-reference Spit. Mk. 1 serials and fus. codes?

I'm trying to find out what fuselage letter codes two Spitfire Mk. 1s would have carried during the Battle of Britain. Both were with 41 Sqn. during Oct. of 1940. The serials are X4253 and X4592. Both would have had codes that began with "EB" so I'm looking for the individual airplane letter. Thanks for any help.
