German propeller designs
Hi,
I'm looking for a good source on different German propellers covering desginations, design features, basic measurments etc. Especially Junkers propellers, clarifying the difference between Ju PAK, Ju HPA, Ju HPB, Ju HPC. We've got on German landing gear designs so why not one on propellers!? Suggestions on sources would be appreciated! Thanks /Mikael |

Re: German propeller designs
Best buy on this is „Junkers Ratgeber“, and 3rd edition of 1940 covers in detail: Ju PAII, PAIII, PAKII, PAKIII, PACKII, PACKIII, PCII, PCIII and PCIV. Basic informations are also provided for HPA HPAK HPC and VS.
More details to be found in respective Betriebsanweisung und Wartungsvorschrift. Situation with other manufacturers like VDM, Argus,Schwarz or Heine similiar, but some basic informations given in Flugzeug-Typenbuch, Ausgabe 1938/39 (Hauptausgabe A). Regards Günther |

Re: German propeller designs
Günther,
Many thanks for pointing me in that direction. I've actually got a copy of the Junkers Ratgeber from 1937 on my bookshelf, I just didn't think of it. It does give a good introduction to the topic. Thanks! Next logical step would be different Betriebsanweisung und Wartungsvorschrift as you suggest but that is more detailed and involves more work than I need at the moment. /Mikael |
