Any magazines dealing with claims/losses?

Besides Revi magazine from the Czech republic, I don't know of any periodicals which focuses much at all on claims/losses research.
Unfortunately my Czech is really rusty... Does anybody know an English language alternative?

Re: Any magazines dealing with claims/losses?

Hi Skyraider 3D,
Unfortunately i cannot think of any British published magazine that ofers anything comparable, to the fantastic Revi mag. The detail on losses and the excellent colour profiles, make this a very very good read, unlike the British piffle with advert after advert! inside and little else!

The French magazines Avions, Ciel De Guerre Les Dossiers, and Batailles Aeriennes are equally as good as Revi for photo quality and information on losses, and feature great profiles, But sadly written in French.

Best regs,
Steve.

Come on Skyraider 3D ! The Czech language is so simple like "Třistatřicettři stříbrných stříkaček stříkalo přes třistatřicettři střííbrných střech ..."

Regards,
Michal, REVI magazine contributor

Re: Any magazines dealing with claims/losses?

Thanks for reminding me of the French magazines, Steve. Although my knowledge of French leaves sometime to be desired, I should be able to get the main line of the story without too many problems.

As for Czech, Michal, I am afraid it's a wee bit too tricky!
Revi has recently started bringing out English language books (I have the Ki-46 title, which is excellent). Is there a chance that in the future an English version of Revi may become available? Through a website Revi could sell worldwide with ease, and as this forum proves there's plenty of people that would be interested.

Re: Any magazines dealing with claims/losses?

No Magazine but why not 'use' Tony Wood's 'Claims and losses' pages on the Internet for research ?
Good luck,
Co de Swart,
Holland.

O yes I do. But what I'm looking for is also pilot narratives, aircraft photos, reports, more details basically. Revi is offering just that, but in a language I can't read...

PS. Somewhat related, Mike Williams has just added an enormous heap of combat reports to his fantastic website at http://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.org/
